Pre-painted paper must be coated with special dip coating equipment in order to produce, so most of them still need to be imported. There are only domestic production in Guangdong and Zhejiang. Pre-painted paper is thinner, and it is also more wear-resistant. It is mainly used in furniture manufacturing and its usage is increasing.
3, high pressure melamine impregnated paper
High pressure melamine impregnated paper is used in the manufacture of high pressure melamine decorative laminates (HPL, commonly known as fireproof panels). HPL consists of a layer of surface paper, a layer of decorative paper, and a number of layers of underlying paper, and is made by a high-pressure method. It is mainly used for the manufacture of railcars for interior decoration, office furniture and cabinets. In the 1960s, Beijing Guanghua Timber Factory and Shanghai Yangtze Wood Factory began to produce HPL. The decorative paper used at that time was made of domestic paper, and ink, printing and plate making were all solved in China. In 2000, foreign HPL entered the Chinese market, compared with the gap is too large, the Yangtze wood factory took the lead in the introduction of German-made decorative paper, making the domestic HPL a new look.
4, low pressure melamine impregnated paper
Low-pressure melamine impregnated paper is suitable for low-pressure surface veneering (LPL), and is mainly used for veneer processing of particleboard, MDF, HDF, etc., and thus applied to furniture, flooring, interior decoration and the like. The low-pressure method was successfully developed by Germany in the 1960s and introduced into China in the 1980s. At that time, the quantity of decorative paper used was 100-120 g/m2 and 80 g/m2, which was imported from Europe. In the mid to late 1990s, with the localization of laminate flooring and the development of office furniture, the demand for low-pressure melamine impregnated paper soared. In 2006, the annual demand for domestic melamine impregnated paper reached 79,000 tons.
